Gaby Lewis hit 66 not out as Ireland beat the Netherlands in their second Women's T20 World Cup European Qualifier game in Rotterdam.

Following Wednesday's victory against Germany, Ireland's second win leaves them in a healthy position as they bid for a top-two finish in the four-team round robin, which will secure a place in the Global Qualifier in Nepal.

The Netherlands won the toss and opted to bat with Phebe Molkenboer and Heather Siegers both out for 27 - Arlene Kelly dismissing Molkenboer lbw, while Siegers was run out.

Laura Delany took the wickets of Dutch captain Babette De Leede and Robine Rijke, while Jane Maguire removed Myrthe van den Raad on 10.

However, the hosts rallied with Frederique Overdijk and Iris Zwilling posting 25 and 12 respectively to set Ireland a target of 138.

Ireland made a strong start to their reply with Lewis and Amy Hunter finding the boundary before Hunter was bowled by Caroline de Lange on 21.

Orla Prendergast chipped in with 28, which included the only six of the match, before being caught by Babette de Leede off the bowing of Iris Zwilling.

Captain Lewis continued to pepper the boundary - finishing with 11 fours - while Leah Paul's 17 helped Ireland pass the Dutch tally with four balls to space.

Ireland are next in action on Saturday when they take on Italy (10:00 BST) in Rotterdam before the second phase of games against their group opponents.
