Kent have signed leg-spinning all-rounder Mohammed Rizvi for their Metro Bank One-Day Cup campaign.

The 27-year-old Pakistan-born player has impressed for the county's second XI this summer, scoring 367 runs and taking 28 wickets at an average of 20.60.

That included an unbeaten century against Warwickshire and a haul of 7-90 against Glamorgan.

Rizvi came through the youth system at Middlesex before joining the South Asian Cricket Academy in 2022-23 and 2025, and has also turned out for Oxford MCCU, Hertfordshire and the second XIs at both Surrey and Essex.

Kent director of cricket Simon Cook said: "He gives us another all-round option with his batting in the middle order and leg-spin, and has the determination to carry on his good form into first-team cricket."
