Wicketkeeper Kyle Verreynne will remain with Nottinghamshire next summer for the defence of their County Championship crown.
Verreyne hit a six that earned Notts their seventh title in September on the penultimate day of the 2025 season, securing the batting bonus point that put the East Midlands club out of reach at the top of the Division One table.
In total, he scored 500 red-ball runs and claimed 38 catches for Notts in 2025.
He is now set to spend a third successive summer at Trent Bridge, with his latest deal committing him to the entire County Championship campaign.
"While it was obviously a proud moment to hit the runs that brought the trophy home, everyone deserves the credit for an incredibly special season," he told the club website., external
Nottinghamshire head coach Peter Moores said the six that Verreynne hit to secure the title was a moment that "will live long in the memory of everyone who witnessed it", and that he is "delighted" to have the World Test Championship-winning South African back.
He added: "The thing that excites me most about Kyle is that I still don't think we've seen the best of him, and the more he settles into English conditions, the better he will perform."
Verreyne is now on tour with South Africa in India, where the first Test begins in Kolkata on Friday.
