Northamptonshire have signed Nottinghamshire all-rounder Calvin Harrison on a two-year contract.

The leg-spinner spent much of the 2025 season on loan at Wantage Road and was Northants' leading wicket-taker in the County Championship, with 36 from 10 games.

He also scored 456 runs at an average of 32.57, including an innings of 122 against Kent in July.

"We see him as a leader within our group moving forward, and he provides a lot of options for us with bat, ball and in the field, so we're over the moon that he's continuing his development with us," said head coach Darren Lehmann.

"He's putting trust in what we are doing and building, and that's very pleasing from the club's point of view."

Harrison, 27, joined Notts in 2021, following earlier spells at Oxford MCCU and Hampshire and took 103 wickets for the club in all formats of the game.

But he only played one red-ball game for them in the summer as they won their first County Championship title since 2010.

"It's a tough decision for everyone connected to the club when we have to make a decision like this, but doing so is part of the modern cricketing landscape," said head coach Peter Moores.

"Calvin's keen to play more four-day cricket, so we've agreed to his release to allow him to continue his development."

Harrison has also played in The Hundred for Trent Rockets and Manchester Originals.

He said: "After being on loan with Northamptonshire this summer, I'm looking forward to joining on a full-time basis.

"I enjoyed working with Boof [Lehmann] and the whole coaching team, and I'm hoping to help contribute to us going on and winning trophies."
