Barnard hits 152 as Bears maintain 100% record

Warwickshire captain Ed Barnard led from the front with a superb unbeaten 152 as the Bears made it five wins out of five in the One-Day Cup.
Opener Barnard carried his bat as Warwickshire made 271-4 to beat Gloucestershire by six wickets at Bristol on a day of seven centuries in the 50-over competition.
Their 100% record is matched by Glamorgan, who stay top of Group B, after bowling out Essex for 251 to seal a 32-run victory at Chelmsford.
Derbyshire are the new leaders of Group A after winning a thriller by one wicket over Somerset at Taunton.
Number 10 Harry Moore hit the winning boundary to finish with 36 off 20 balls as Derbyshire overhauled Somerset's 316-5 with 10 balls to spare.
Either side would have gone top with victory as previous leaders Worcestershire were surprisingly beaten by 130 runs by Northamptonshire.
Group A - Dal delivers at Taunton
Game of the day was served up at Taunton with 633 runs and 14 wickets in a terrific contest.
Somerset made 316-5 with James Rew top-scoring with 88 and three other 50-plus cotntributions from captain Sean Dickson (86), Andy Umeed (58) and Josh Thomas (54*).
In reply, Derbyshire were in big trouble at 90-5 when Anuj Dal came to the wicket. But he put on 145 with David Lloyd (71) and was eventually ninth out for a fantastic 115 off only 74 balls.
However, Moore and last man Sam Conners scrambled the last 12 runs to make it four wins out of five.
It enabled them to jump above Worcestershire, who suffered their first defeat of the competition as they were hammered by previously winless Northamptonshire at Wantage Road.
India batter Privthi Shaw top scored with 72 and was backed up by Ricardo Vasconcelos (68) and George Bartlett (60), as Northants' top three set the platform for their 295-6.
The visitors slumped to 34-5 in reply and, despite half-centuries for Tom Taylor (57) and captain Jake Libby (50*), the result was never in doubt, wrapped up after 39 overs when they were bowled out for 165.
Middlesex made it back-to-back victories as they swept to a comfortable five-wicket win over Kent at Beckenham.
The home side decided to bat first but were bowled out for 201 in the 45th over with opener Marcus O'Riordan's 58 the only significant contribution.
Boosted by 88 from Joe Cracknell at the top of the order and 50 from Robbie White, Middlesex cruised home with 18.4 overs to spare.
Lancashire remain rooted to the bottom as they lost a fifth straight game by 71 runs to Hampshire at the Utilita Bowl.
After deciding to bowl first, they had Hampshire 117-6, but Felix Organ's 74 not out from 57 balls pushed the hosts up to 222-8.
They then reduced the Red Rose to 19-5, only for Australia all-rounder Chris Green to hit a maiden List A century.
However, he kept losing partners until he was last man out for 100, made from 95 balls, with Lancashire dismissed for 151 as John Turner finished with an impressive 4-24.
Group B - Barnard delivers again for Bears
After a career-best 173 against Essex on 24 July, Barnard again delivered with the bat for Warwickshire against Gloucestershire.
The skipper smashed two sixes and 14 fours in his 134-ball knock as the Bears reached 271-4 with 2.1 overs to spare at Bristol.
Barnard had earlier opened the bowling and took 3-16 as Gloucestershire's top order collapsed only for an unbeaten 139 off 115 balls by Jack Taylor and 53 from Ben Charlesworth boosting them to 267 all out.
But the Bears remain second behind Glamorgan on net run-rate after the Welsh county defeated Essex at Chelmsford.
Sam Northeast's 89 was the bedrock of their 283 all out, and despite 51 by captain Tom Westley in reply, the hosts were never in a position to challenge.
The Essex tail wagged from 122-6 - with number 11 Aaron Beard hitting 42 not out off 29 balls - before they were bowled out for 251 in the 47th over.
Warwickshire host Glamorgan at Edgbaston on Thursday when the winners will be well placed to clinch top spot in Group B.
Ben Slater's List A best 164 was the bedrock of Nottinghamshire's 378-6
Third-placed Nottinghamshire recorded 378-6 - the highest score in the competition this season - on their way to a 107-run victory over Surrey at Guildford.
Opener Ben Slater hit a List A best 164 off 119 balls and put on 187 for the second wicket with Jack Haynes (86) on their way to that huge total.
Dom Sibley made 72 and Conor McKerr 71 off 36, but Robert Lord took 5-45 in only his second Cup game as the weakened Surrey line-up were bowled out for 271 for a fifth straight loss.
Sussex have also lost five out of five after they suffered a 10-run defeat by Leicestershire at Hove.
The Foxes made 363-7 with a superb 119 off 80 balls from Australia batter Peter Handscomb and half-centuries for Sol Budinger (84), Ajinkya Rahane (68) and Ian Holland (65).
Tom Haines hit an equally brilliant 129 for Sussex and fellow opener Tom Clark made a rapid 72, while captain John Simpson hit 85 off only 51 balls.
But Simpson was out in the penultimate over with 20 still needed and a flurry of wickets saw them finish on 353-9.
