Glamorgan all-rounder Ben Kellaway has been selected by Welsh Fire in the Hundred wildcard draft.

The 21-year-old, from Newport, becomes the first Welshman in the Fire squad this year.

Kellaway joins Glamorgan team-mate Mason Crane, while Fire have also selected Gloucestershire paceman Ajeet Singh Dale.

Somerset all-rounder Alex Griffiths has also become the first Welsh woman picked by Welsh Fire for the upcoming campaign.

Griffiths joins Blaze's Charley Phillips as the latest picks for the women's team.

Kellaway has enjoyed an excellent season for Glamorgan in the T20 Blast, taking 10 wickets at an average of 17.10 and scoring 222 runs at a strike rate of 148.99.

He has the unusual skill of being able to bowl with either arm, having taken wickets as an off-spinner as well as an orthodox left-arm spinner.

Kellaway has also caught the eye in the County Championship this year, scoring 659 runs at an average of 65.90.
