The Oakland Coliseum, the iconic former home of the Oakland Athletics baseball team, will host nine matches during the 2025 Major League Cricket season.

The Athletics played at the Coliseum in Bay Area, California for 56 years before leaving in 2024 as part of the franchise's move to Las Vegas.

The stadium, which has also previously hosted football and American football matches, will have a reduced capacity of 12,000 spectators when it hosts cricket for the first time.

It will host the opening match on 12 June, as San Francisco Unicorns meet last year's winners Washington Freedom, and eight further matches, including two more Unicorns home fixtures.

MLC matches will also be played for the first time at the 25,000 Broward County Stadium in Florida, which has been preferred to Church Street Park in Morrisville, North Carolina.

The Grand Prairie Stadium in Texas will again hold a chunk of group games in addition to the knockout stages and final on 13 July.
