Leicestershire Foxes 136 (34.1 overs): Porter 3-25

Glamorgan won by 125 runs

Debutant Abbey Freeborn starred for Glamorgan with 108 not out as they comfortably beat Leicestershire by 125 runs in the One Day Cup.

Freeborn, on loan from Warwickshire, batted through the Glamorgan innings of 261-5, hitting 10 fours.

She shared stands of around the 50 mark with Bethan Gammon, who made 29, as well as Lauren Parfitt, Bethan Ellis and Rose Evans, who all scored 28.

In reply Leicestershire were dismissed for just 135, with Gemma Porter claiming 3-25.

Another on-loan debutant, Somerset seamer Ellie Anderson (2-25) made early inroads while Nicole Reid and Bethan Ellis also claimed two wickets apiece.

Flora Davies and Ellen Watson, with 23 apiece, were the Foxes' top scorers but they never recovered from losing three cheap wickets.

Glamorgan are second in the table with four wins from five while Leicestershire, like Glamorgan semi-finalists in their T20 Blast, are eighth of the 10 teams.

The match marked the start of a busy week at Neath with Glamorgan men's side facing Hampshire and Derbyshire, also in the 50 overs format.
