Gloucestershire pace-bowler Marchant de Lange has signed a one-year extension to play T20-only cricket with the club in 2026.

The former South Africa international has taken 21 wickets in 16 T20 matches for Gloucestershire in his three seasons with the club so far - including 11 in 2024 as the side won the Blast title.

He has another 41 wickets with an average of 32.85 in first-class cricket for the county since joining from Somerset in 2022.

The 35-year-old missed much of last season with multiple injuries and his new deal will allow him to continue playing in franchise tournaments alongside Gloucestershire's Blast campaign.

"A lot of internal thought process went into it, injuries here and there but also looking to the future - I think I can make the most impact for Glos in the T20 format," De Lange told the club website, external.

"I want to play as long as possible, I think I can contribute loads in the shorter format."
