England fast bowler Jofra Archer has signed a one-year contract extension with Sussex.

The 30-year-old has suffered a series of long-term injuries in the past six years but has recovered to take his place in England's squad for the Ashes tour of Australia this winter.

Archer has played his entire English domestic career with Sussex and has taken 135 wickets in 30 first-class appearances for the club, at an average of 23.30.

"I'm delighted to continue my journey with Sussex. Since my debut in 2016, I have always felt at home here and it was another easy decision to stay here for a further year," he told the club's website., external

Archer has made 86 appearances for England across all three formats.
