Derbyshire have agreed a new contract for the 2025 season with pace bowler Ben Aitchison after he missed the entire summer campaign because of a back injury.
The 25-year-old has taken 68 first-class wickets since his debut in 2020 and 19 in white ball cricket.
But his last first-team appearance came in a County Championship match against Worcestershire in June 2023.
"His skillset impressed me from the very start, but unfortunately injuries have meant we’re yet to see the best of him," said head of cricket Mickey Arthur.
"He has progressed really well in his recovery and I’m looking forward to seeing him bowl in pre-season."
