There was a small flurry of boundaries for Welsh Fire at the beginning but Southern Brave have pulled it back well with plenty of dot balls.

This is not over until it's over and these games have gone to the wire so often.

  2. Fire 39-1published at 60 balls left

    68 runs needed

Tilly Corteen-Coleman returns and her five deliveries are a mirror image of Tryon's effort - three singles bookended by a dot ball from the first and last ball of the set.

The 18-year-old has 0-13 from her first 10 balls.

  3. Fire 36-1published at 65 balls left

    71 runs needed

Chloe Tryon is the fifth Southern Brave bowler and the spinner's five deliveries go for three singles.

Brave were 34-2 at this stage.

Tammy Beaumont has not looked to over-hit her boundaries but just time them and they have raced away.

She has looked in good rhythm but it is disappointing that this form has come so late in the tournament.

  5. Fire 33-1published at 70 balls left

    74 runs needed

Tammy Beaumont gets four off Mady Villiers' last delivery, sweeping through fine leg.

The opener is into the twenties for the first time in this campaign.

  6. Fire 27-1published at 75 balls left

    80 runs needed

Hayley Matthews arrives at three for Fire.

She stretches at her first delivery and almost chops onto her stumps, then takes a single to long-off from the next ball, amid a very brief flurry of rain.

We'll continue with Villiers to bowl another five, but with the fielders out as the powerplay has now come to an end.

It was mid-off enticing that shot for Sophia Dunkley but the length wasn't there. She could not get her bat to catch up in time.

Welsh Fire cannot lose their way here, they need to stay ahead.

    Dunkley b Villiers 9 (Fire 26-1)

    Advanced down the track... bowled!

Spinner Mady Villiers has a wicket with her third ball, beating the bat of Sophia Dunkley who'd moved way down the pitch trying to heave into the leg side.

It would have been an easy stumping had the ball missed the stumps too.

Welsh Fire have negotiated Lauren Bell and attacked her well at the other end. They know she is the main threat and she is the one who can get wickets rolling.

  10. Fire 24-0published at 80 balls left

    83 runs needed

A second set of deliveries for Lauren Bell, and like her first effort it goes for two runs.

No breakthrough though, for the tournament's leading wicket-taker.

    Nice timing from Tammy Beaumont.

Sophie Devine was looking to get the ball to swing but Beaumont eased it over wide long-on. That will make her feel a lot better.

  12. Fire 22-0published at 85 balls left

    85 runs needed

    Consecutive fours for Tammy Beaumont!

She cracks Sophie Devine over mid-on then slaps the next delivery through the covers with a tennis forehand-style shot.

She moves to 15, already her highest score of the season.

No spinner has more wickets in the powerplay this year than Tilly Corteen-Coleman - she has four wickets at an average of just 11.50.

  14. Fire 12-0published at 90 balls left

    95 runs needed

Tilly Corteen-Coleman gets the second set of deliveries for Brave, and Sophia Dunkley sweeps her first delivery behind square for four.

Tammy Beaumont follows that up with a boundary of her own, cutting through third with a shot that's a tad edge-y.

Lauren Bell has six powerplay wickets in The Hundred this season - only Kate Cross has more (7).

  16. Fire 2-0published at 95 balls left

    105 runs needed

Both Fire openers take a single from Lauren Bell's first set of deliveries.

Tammy Beaumont's top score in this competition is 11, made in Fire's first game against Superchargers - she's been in single figures since.

Sophia Dunkley, however, has been in better form - she's made two half-centuries in her last four innings.

It will be spin it to win it here. This is a used pitch but there has been a bit of rain so there could be some moisture for the seamers.

    Thanks Matthew.

Southern Brave are in a huddle on the outfield, while Tammy Beaumont has walked out whirling her bat around.

She'll start at the non-striker's end, with Sophia Dunkley facing the first ball from her England team-mate Lauren Bell.

The numbers suggest Southern Brave are below par but will Fire's out-of-form batting line-up get them over the line?

Mike Peter will take you through it.
