Laura Wolvaardt is at it again!

She jumps on a slower ball from Nat Sciver-Brunt and deposits it into the stands over mid-wicket.

She pulls the next away for four. An expensive over from the England captain.

  2. SA 228-6published at 43.4 overs

Nat Sciver-Brunt brings herself back on and beats Chloe Tryon with a superb delivery that nips back past the inside edge.

She surprises Tryon with a bouncer that is called wide next up before the Proteas all-rounder clubs the next just past the England skipper's head - thankfully it misses and it's just a single.

    SA 223-6

Yep. As expected, the ball was sliding down leg.

    It always seemed extremely hopeful.

But a fantastic 10 overs from Sophie Ecclestone nonetheless.

This is probably missing leg-stump and there might even be some inside edge on it.

    No-one is concerned.

  5. England reviewpublished at 43 overs

    SA 223-6

Sophie Ecclestone came into the match with concerns over her shoulder, she ends her spell with figures of 4-44.

Or will it be 5-44? Well, no I don't think so, but England have gone for an lbw review for a hopeful shout against Chloe Tryon.

Sophie Ecclestone is going to bowl out here. Can she take anymore South Africa batters with her?

Laura Wolvaardt is a superb player and deserves her hundred, always difficult to get out. England can chase anything but we need all the batters to stand up not just the two or three usual ones.

Tossed up by Charlie Dean... and Laura Wolvaardt hammers the ball high over long-on for six!

In the slot from the England spinner and she's punished.

A single next ball keeps Wolvaardt on strike.

South Africa could have been smarter with how they played Sophie Ecclestone and should have negotiated to not do anything silly.

Wow. We've just seen a replay of the Annerie Dercksen wicket and she managed to hit the ball into the ground, off the glove I think, and with it bouncing towards short third, the bat comes round and pulls it back onto the stumps.

Sophie Ecclestone rips a beauty past the edge of new batter Chloe Tryon but is frustrated to end the over with a loose ball, sliding down leg and swept for four by Laura Wolvaardt.

Annerie Dercksen took the chance and played the ball onto the stumps. She hit it twice, I'm sure.

Inexplicable from Annerie Dercksen. You don't want to be a sitting duck to Sophie Ecclestone but why not just see her through her overs for four or five?

    It seems so unnecessary.

Ecclestone bowls Dercksen after reverse sweep deflects off the bat twice and onto stumps

    It's four for Sophie Ecclestone!

An odd shot from Annerie Dercksen, attempting to reverse sweep the England left-arm spinner but making a complete mess of it.

In doing so she manages to drag the ball onto her stumps.

With 10 overs left in the innings, this semi-final remains very finely poised.

Sophie Ecclestone is going to continue into her ninth over.

That is a proper captain's innings from Laura Wolvaardt. From the first ball that pinged off her bat, you knew she was going to do something special.

She has had a steeliness about her and you can see how popular she is with her teammates.

A legendary innings from the South Africa skipper. Goodness me Laura Wolvaardt has played well.

    Total control.

'Legendary' Wolvaardt brings up her century in 'brilliant innings'

Laura Wolvaardt reaches her maiden World Cup century! What an innings it has been.

She gets there showing the control she has shown from the very first ball of the innings, just guiding to ball into the gap to the right of the fielder at deep third and scampers back for two.

The hundred comes up from 115 balls with 12 boundaries.

  18. SA 195-5published at 39 overs

    So close!

Just two from Sophie Ecclestone's latest and her penultimate delivery slides millimetres past Annerie Dercksen's outside edge - and not a million miles away from off stump either.

A single for Dercksen last ball isn't a bad result for England really.

Laura Wolvaardt is on 97 and still waiting to get to her first World Cup hundred.

Lauren Bell's first ball to Annerie Dercksen sneaks down leg for a wide but that's the only run of a successful over.

The England seamer digs one in short and Dercksen is pinged on the helmet as she misses with a hook shot.

After a quick concussion check, Dercksen is cleared to continue. Sophie Ecclestone will carry on from the other end.
