By bowling spin you are allowing Australia to play shots like that. These sixes will not stop - Ash Gardner will hit them all for maximums if she can.

  2. 6 runs

    Aus 325-6published at 48.1 overs

That will help. Radha Yadav is heaved over mid-wicket.

Ash Gardner's third six of the day.

  3. Aus 319-6published at 48 overs

Twelve balls left. Can Australia get 340?

Ash Gardner was not fluent at the beginning but has had to take a lot of the flack in her innings.

Australia never panic when they come to the crease - they trust in the time they have and in themselves as players.

  5. 50 runs

50 for Ash Gardnerpublished at 47.5 overs

Kim Garth, desperate to get off strike, decides to take on a fielder's arm and just gets home for the single. Needed a better throw.

Ash Gardner goes four, dot, two to bring up her 50 off 41 deliveries.

Yet another handy contribution from the all-rounder.

  6. Aus 311-6published at 47 overs

Australia run five either side of Ash Gardner's boundary. 11 added.

Kim Garth is on strike for the 48th.

A proper full swing from Ash Gardner. She times the ball so nicely and made it look a lot shorter than it actually was.

  8. 6 runs

    Aus 307-6published at 46.2 overs

Here we go. Big swing and a six for Ash Gardner over long-on.

The positive sign for India is that the wicket is unforgiving. They will be hoping that they can put the Australia bowlers under enough pressure.

  10. Aus 300-6published at 46 overs

Three singles, a leg-bye, and a boundary. 300 up for Australia.

Ash Gardner is clipping along at 35 (34), but she'll want to explode in the final four overs.

That was almost a chance. Kranti Gaud was caught in two minds about taking the catch or stopping the boundary and ending up doing neither.

Jemimah Rodrigues is everywhere for India.

Ash Gardner goes for another heave but doesn't get the distance. It falls short of Kranti Gaud, who is wrong-footed by the bounce, but never fear! Rodrigues is diving behind her to palm it away from the rope and save two.

13 off the over. Sree Charani finishes with 2-49.

Ash Gardner has smashed that. She got underneath the ball which meant it went a lot further.

That has ruined Sree Charani's figures.

  14. 6 runs

    Aus 287-6published at 44.2 overs

That's the Ash Gardner we're used to seeing!

Sree Charani can only turn and watch as the ball sails high into the sky and over mid-on for six.

Ash Gardner is trying to pierce the ring and get to the boundary. This is a good over from Deepti Sharma however.

  16. Aus 279-6published at 44 overs

Neeraj (@12:45), under 330 certainly looks on the cards if India can keep this up.

Australia have only scored eight runs in the past two overs.

Sree Charani is coming back for her final over.

  17. Aus 275-6published at 43 overs

Sree Charani (2-36) has easily been India's best bowler. Four singles from her latest over - but she's only got one left...

If India are chasing anything less than 330 on this wicket, they will take it. Especially if Jemimah Rodrigues plays to her potential.

You cannot afford those mistakes against any team, especially Australia. The emotions are getting the better of India a little bit.

They needed to get Australia out for less than 300.

  20. Aus 271-6published at 42 overs

You'd think that an over where you take a wicket would be a good over. Alas, India's sloppy fielding rears its head again, with an overthrow gifting Kim Garth a bonus four runs.

With Ash Gardner timing a lovely drive through the covers earlier in the over, Australia have added another 11 runs to their tally.
