Australia are masters at having a team down and out and not letting them get back up. Given the fact they have won World Cups before, they know how to approach a semi-final without fear.

Very poor first powerplay from India. Poor fielding, poor bowling and poor captaincy. Lucky to get Healy's wicket but then gladly passed on the initiative back to Australia. No spinners!

  3. drinks break

    Aus 135-1published at 20 overs

    Perry 37, Litchfield 83

Of all the deliveries to get Phoebe Litchfield in a bit of trouble, it's a slow, loopy full toss that she nearly chips straight to extra cover.

I can only assume she was caught in several minds over whether she wanted to smash it.

No matter, it lands safely and she ends the over with another boundary, hammered back over mid-off this time.

That flurry of runs has also taken this partnership into three figures, it stands at 110 from 89 balls as the players take drinks.

Even the shanky mis-hits are going for four. Everything is going Phoebe Litchfield's way at the moment.

There is no respite for India.

  5. Aus 129-1published at 19.3 overs

Harmanpreet Kaur continues to chop and change her bowlers with Radha Yadav replacing fellow left-arm spinner Sree Charani.

Phoebe Litchfield welcomes her to the attack with yet another shot lofted over extra cover.

This one comes off the toe-end but still comfortably clears the in-field and has just enough on it to make the boundary.

Four more! This is out of the middle. Thrashing just in front of square as Rahda offers too much width.

  6. Aus 121-1published at 19 overs

Another bowling change for India and it is the medium pace of Amanjot Kaur.

It's stump-to-stump from Amanjot, trying to give the Australia batters nothing to work with... but Phoebe Litchfield is ready and willing to improvise, moving across her stumps and ramping for four.

Sree Charani varies her pace really well which is a valuable attribute through the middle overs. It means batters cannot get used to one pace.

Sree Charani has probably been the pick of the India bowlers and this is a very tidy over from the left-arm spinner.

Just a pair of singles from it.

  9. Aus 113-1published at 17 overs

Another over, another boundary for Australia as Ellyse Perry easily clips a poor ball that was heading down leg from Deepti Sharma to the fine leg boundary.

Six from the over in total. India are really under the pump here with the run-rate in excess of 6.5 an over and the Aussies batting so deep.

A score well over 300 looks on the cards.

  11. Not outpublished at 16 overs

    Aus 107-1

The right decision is made eventually as replays show very clearly that Phoebe Litchfield met the ball on the full and hit it straight into the ground.

I can't quite believe Litchfield was as ready as she was to walk off.

She remains, though, and is batting very well.

I'd want to have a second look at that, slower. That decision has been made quickly.

I feel like Litchfield has met it on the full toss and it's bounced. It's a bump ball.

I can't believe she's given it out so quickly.

  13. Umpire reviewpublished at 16 overs

    Well, what's happened here?

Next ball, Phoebe Litchfield reverse sweeps and the ball ends up in the hands of the fielder at short third.

Very quickly, it is given out by umpire Sue Redfearn but Litchfield slows before she leaves the field because it might well be a bump ball.

  14. 6 runs

That's gorgeous - shot of the day so far, surely?

Phoebe Litchfield skips down to Sree Charani and with with smooth swing of the bat, hits the ball beautifully over extra cover for six.

India had to start well. They can still turn it around but Australia are ruthless in these circumstances.

They bat so deep as well so once they have a platform, you know it will be a big score.

  16. Aus 99-1published at 15 overs

    Perry 29, Litchfield 55

Four singles follow that big six first ball as Australia continue sedately on.

Not an official drinks break but a couple of drinks bottles are brought out for Phoebe Litchfield and Ellyse Perry between overs.

That pair have put on 74 already for the second wicket.

Deepti Sharma is immediately met with aggression. Beautiful use of the feet from Ellyse Perry.

Australia are attacking again - you cannot let the spinners settle on a surface like this.

  18. 6 runs

    Aus 95-1published at 14.1 overs

Australia look to have found their feet against the spinners now!

And use of the feet seems to be key to that as Ellyse Perry skips down and launches the ball over Deepti Sharma's head for the first six of this semi-final.

Litchfield hits a four down the ground to bring up her half-century

Phoebe Litchfield hits down the ground for her 10th boundary to reach her ninth ODI half-century.

She's frustrated with herself for not making a cleaner connection after dancing down the pitch to Sree Charani but the ball was always safe.

A fine knock from Litchfield so far today after a quiet World Cup to this point. The fifty comes up from 45 balls.

In the last few overs, you feel it looks different for Australia. They have got to find a way to score runs freely against the spin bowlers.

    You sense a wicket.
