Well, we're no closer to finding out whether Somerset or Glamorgan will be the winner of this year's One-Day Cup...

Sadly, rain was the only winner today. Let's all pray for a better slice of luck on the weather front tomorrow!

Thank you for joining us - and make sure to come back again for the reserve day tomorrow! Our coverage gets under way at 10:45 BST.

  2. Play abandoned for the daypublished at 14:34 British Summer Time 22 September
    Breaking

    Somerset v Glamorgan

The rain has not played ball and stopped and so the umpires have no option but to call time for today.

Somerset and Glamorgan will hope to start tomorrow at 11:00 BST.

  3. rain stops play

Somerset v Glamorgan - start delayed

An update, but not of the promising kind....

If it is still raining at 14:33 BST, then play will be abandoned for the day due to the time it would take to mop up the outfield.

What a pity that would be, especially for any Glamorgan or Somerset fans who have travelled up Trent Bridge today.

  4. Lunch takenpublished at 12:57 British Summer Time 22 September

Somerset v Glamorgan - start delayed

Lunch has been called for 13:00 BST at Trent Bridge.

We have also been informed that if there is no play today by 16:02, we will be back for a full 50-over game tomorrow (Monday).

  5. Still rainingpublished at 12:30 British Summer Time 22 September

Somerset v Glamorgan - start delayed

There's an old saying that no news is good news, but whoever coined that phrase probably wasn't an English cricket lover.

Which is another way of saying that we're still awaiting some positive developments at a soggy Trent Bridge, where the start of this year's One-Day Cup final continues to be delayed by rain.

Worth reiterating, though, that we do have Monday in place as a reserve day in case Somerset and Glamorgan aren't able to get the job done today!

For those of you just joining us - you haven't missed anything in terms of cricket.

A wet start at Trent Bridge this morning means the covers are on and the Somerset and Glamorgan players, along with everyone else, are having to twiddle their thumbs.

We'll bring you further news as and when we have it...

  7. Postpublished at 10:52 British Summer Time 22 September

    Somerset v Glamorgan (11:00 BST)

Not that we're looking to write off the prospects of play by any means - but it's probably worth pointing out that Monday has been made available as a reserve day if the trophy's destination isn't decided today.

If that's the case, then the final will resume on Monday from whatever state we reach today. Fingers crossed it isn't necessary!

  8. Good morning and welcome!published at 10:44 British Summer Time 22 September

    Somerset v Glamorgan (11:00 BST)

A very good morning from a very wet Trent Bridge...

No great surprise, unfortunately, that we have a delayed toss in the One-Day Cup final between Somerset and Glamorgan.
