BDO World Darts: Richie George beats Jimmy Hendriks

Bobby George's son into quarter-final

Richie George, son of two-time finalist Bobby, reached the quarter-finals of the BDO World Championships with a 4-2 win over Jimmy Hendriks.

The 23-year-old, making his debut in the tournament, will face seventh seed Jan Dekker after the Dutchman's 4-3 win over England's Garry Thompson.

Third seed Scott Waites, the highest-ranked player left in the tournament, beat Geert de Vos of Belgium 4-1.

He will play Paul Jennings after his 4-0 win over Jason Cullen.
