Taylor powered to victory with a 102 average

Sixteen-time world champion Phil Taylor reached the third round of the PDC World Championship after a convincing 4-0 win over Welshman Mark Webster.

Taylor, 54, lost only four legs and next plays Belgium's Kim Huybrechts.

The world number two said: "I was steady. Mark put me under some pressure but missed important finishes."

Two-time champion Adrian Lewis beat Keegan Brown 4-2 while Cristo Reyes became the first Spanish player in history to reach the last 16.

The 27-year-old qualifier came from 3-1 down to beat Kevin Painter in a deciding seventh set and now faces fourth seed Gary Anderson.

Huybrechts set up his meeting with Taylor with a 4-3 win over Ian White, who beat him by the same score at Alexandra Palace last year.

Andy Hamilton set up a third-round meeting with last year's finalist Peter Wright by overcoming Kyle Anderson 4-2, while Dean Winstanley won a thrilling encounter with Darren Webster in a deciding-set tie-break.
