Fermanagh's Brendan Dolan has lost 11-6 to England's Ryan Searle in the semi-finals of the Players Championship.

The pair were tied at 4-4 in a tight start to the match before Searle pulled away to win in Minehead.

Dolan had made it through to the last four by defeating Jose de Sousa 10-4 in the quarter-finals.

Searle only narrowly made it through to the semi-finals, beating Londonderry thrower Daryl Gurney 10-9 in the last eight on Sunday.

Searle will play either Scotland's Peter Wright or Jonny Clayton of Wales in the final, with the tournament being played to a finish at the Butlin's Resort on Sunday evening.
