Gerwyn Price has withdrawn from the Cazoo Masters for family reasons.

The Welshman was due to compete in the event at Milton Keynes between 2-4 February.

But he has been replaced by Daryl Gurney after being unable to feature at the Marshall Arena.

Despite missing the Masters - where the winner will scoop £65,000 - Price will feature on the opening night of the 2024 Premier League in Cardiff on 1 February.

He comes up against Nathan Aspinall in the last eight, with Peter Wright facing Rob Cross.

The two other quarter-final ties see Michael van Gerwen take on Michael Smith and Luke Littler battle it out with Luke Humphries in a repeat of the recent World Championship final between the pair, where Humphries emerged victorious.

Defending champion Chris Dobey faces 2023 UK open winner Andrew Gilding in the opening match of his Masters title defence on Friday night.
