GB equestrian performance director Will Connell to leave post

British Equestrian Federation performance director Will Connell has announced that he will stand down after next month's World Equestrian Games.

Connell is to become director of sport at the US Equestrian Federation.

"This has been a very hard decision for me," Connell said.

Connell has been performance director since 2003. He oversaw a successful campaign at London 2012, including golds in showjumping, dressage, and para-dressage.
