Cambridge United boss George holds fire on contracts

Cambridge United caretaker manager Jez George has ruled out offering new contracts to their senior players until they are safe from relegation.
The U's have moved to extend the terms of some of their young prospects such as Liam Hughes over the past month.
George told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "Obviously we need to tie our young lads down.
"But we can't do anything with contracts for our senior players."
George's side are three points above the drop zone in the Blue Square Bet Premier and travel to relegation rivals Forest Green on Saturday.
George has been in temporary charge since Martin Ling was sacked in February, winning just two of 14 games.
"As we don't know what will happen after the next four games, we can't talk to the senior players, but we want to get the young players sorted," he said.
Kevin Roberts, Dave Partridge, Sam Ives, Jordan Patrick and Daryl Coakley are all out of contract in the summer.
"It's about getting the development players and the second year scholars sorted," he added.
"The likes of Rory McAuley, Adam Marriott and Josh Coulson are already under contract for next season."
