Celtic's Richie Towell open to Hibernian return

Richie Towell admits he does not know where his future lies but would welcome the chance to return to Hibernian.

The defender spent the second of the season on loan at Easter Road from Celtic, external.

"I'm not too sure yet; whether or not I'm going to be back at Celtic next season, coming back to Hibs on loan or even permanently," Towell told Hibs' website.

"It is all up in the air, but hopefully it will be sorted out soon."

Towell made a single substitute appearance with Celtic before his loan stint with Hibs, where he played 16 times, including 15 starts.

"I don't think I could've asked for a bigger move. To come to a club like Hibs has been brilliant.

"To come to such a big club and play regularly has been phenomenal - I've really enjoyed it."
