Coventry City have completed the signings of goalkeepers Joe Murphy and Chris Dunn on three-year deals.

Murphy, 29, joins on a free transfer after being released by Scunthorpe United last month.

Dunn, 23, was out of contract at Northampton but the Sky Blues must pay an undisclosed compensation fee because he is under the age of 24.

Boss Andy Thorn said: "It's been a terrific day for the club to get two very good goalkeepers in."

He added: "Joe is proven quality. He's an international and I've liked him for a long time.

"I'm absolutely delighted we have signed Chris. I know for a fact a Premier League club was interested in him but we have managed to get it done quickly."

Dunn played 98 league games for the Cobblers, while Murphy made more than 200 appearances for Scunthorpe.
