Caldwell made his Scotland debut in 2001 against Poland
Birmingham City have signed defender Steven Caldwell on a two-year contract.
The 30-year-old, who becomes the Blues' fifth signing of the summer, was recently released by Premier League side Wigan Athletic.
The Stirling-born defender began his career as a trainee with Newcastle United and has since made moves to Sunderland and Burnley.
The former Scottish international has also had loan spells with Blackpool, Bradford City and Leeds United.
