Cardiff City have completed the signing of Iceland international Aron Gunnarsson on a free transfer.
The 22-year-old has agreed terms with the Bluebirds after his contract with Coventry City expired.
The midfielder, who has won 23 caps for his country, is new manager Malky Mackay's fifth summer signing.
Coventry are entitled to training compensation as Gunnarsson is under the age of 24.
He will now travel with the Bluebirds squad for a pre-season trip to Spain on Saturday.
Gunnarsson began his professional career in Iceland with Akureysri in 2005 before joining Dutch club AZ Alkmaar the following season.
He joined Coventry in 2008 and made 133 appearances for the Sky Blues in his three seasons at the Ricoh Arena.
More recently he was a member of the Iceland under-21 side who competed at the Uefa Championships in Denmark.
