Sheffield United sign ex-Derby striker Chris Porter

Porter made 20 appearances for Derby last season

Sheffield United have signed former Derby County striker Chris Porter on a two-year deal.

The-27-year-old was released by the Rams, external last season after two-and-a-half years with the Championship side.

Blades boss Danny Wilson told the club website:, external "He is a terrific lad who will work his socks off for the cause and will score us goals.

"We know what he is about and he is very hungry after overcoming some injury problems."

Porter signed for Derby after a succesful spell in the SPL with Motherwell.

But he struggled with injuries during his time at Pride Park and was restricted to just 26 starts for the club.
