Plymouth Argyle have re-signed their out of contract defender Stephane Zubar on a two-year deal.

The 23-year-old was the only out-of-contract Argyle player offered a new deal this summer.

"It shows what the club means to him and I think the fans will be pleased to see him back," Plymouth boss Peter Reid told the club website, external.

Zubar, whose brother Ronald plays for Wolverhampton Wanderers, first arrived at Argyle last summer.

He made 29 appearances for Plymouth last season after joining from Romanian side Vaslui, scoring two goals.

"I thought at right-back he was great and then, at centre-half, he was even better, so it's a big bonus and I'm delighted that he wants to come back," Reid added.
