Berwick recorded an upset by coming from behind to beat nine-man Partick in their League Cup first-round tie.

The home side took the lead when midfielder Paul Cairney headed home from six yards after 27 minutes.

But Berwick equalised six minutes later when Damon Gray fired home from close range, and Stuart Noble made it 2-1 in the 73rd minute.

Paul Currie's penalty put the result beyond doubt in the 77th minute after Noble was fouled in the box.
