Stuart Lewis seals new Wycombe Wanderers contract

Lewis netted two times in 27 games for Wycombe last season

Wycombe have handed a two-year contract extension to midfielder Stuart Lewis, keeping him at Adams Park until 2014.

The 23-year-old joined the Chairboys, initially on loan,, external from Dagenham in November and went on to play 27 games for Gary Waddock's side.

He made the switch permanent in January, external, signing an 18-month deal.

"It's been a great time for me since I arrived and I'm more settled here than I've ever been before," he told the club website, external.

"I think I'm playing the best football of my career so far, so it was a no-brainer to sign and I'm really happy.

"I'd like to thank the manager, the owner and the supporters, who have all been excellent for me, and to make this my home for the next three years is perfect for me."

Waddock added: "I'm delighted that Stu's committed himself to the club because he's a very important member of the group.

"His performances have been excellent since he arrived here and he's deserved his new contract."
