No plans to hang-up boots at Pools - Ritchie Humphreys

  • Published

Hartlepool United player-coach Ritchie Humphreys says he is determined to prolong his playing career despite his coaching commitments at Victoria Park.

The 33-year-old currently combines his duties as a registered player at Pools with a coaching role alongside first-team boss Mick Wadsworth.

"I want to do as much as I can as a player," Humphreys told BBC Look North.

"Nothing replaces playing, and I really want to put myself in the manager's thoughts for the season."

Humphreys was rewarded for 10 years at the club with a testimonial against Sunderland on Tuesday, that Pools lost 3-1.
