Garry Monk and Tom Butler fitness boost for Swansea

Swansea skipper Garry Monk has been struggling with a foot injury

Swansea captain Garry Monk could feature against Wigan on Saturday after playing for the reserves against Bolton.

Monk missed Swansea's 4-0 loss at Manchester City due to a foot injury but played in the 2-1 win at Parc y Scarlets.

Midfielder Tom Butler, who has not featured in a competitive game since April 2010, also played.

Both players recently signed new deals with the Swans

Swansea lost 4-0 in their Premier League opener at Manchester City on Monday night but return to the Liberty Stadium for Saturday's clash with Wigan Athletic.
