Chesterfield sign Craig Westcarr and Lee Johnson

Westcarr scored 13 goals for Notts County last season

Chesterfield have signed Notts County striker Craig Westcarr for an undisclosed fee and Bristol City midfielder Lee Johnson on loan.

Westcarr, 26, scored 25 goals in 101 games for the Magpies and signs for the Spireites on a two-year deal.

Johnson, 30, has yet to feature for City this term and will spend three months on loan at the b2net Stadium.

Johnson has been at Ashton Gate since 2006 and has made 199 appearances for the club.

"Lee is a great professional who works and trains hard," manager Keith Millen told the Bristol City website.

"He's obviously frustrated he's not involved at the moment and this loan offers him the chance to go out and get some games."
