Wigan Athletic have signed Spanish winger Albert Crusat from Almeria for an undisclosed fee.

The 29-year-old has joined on a two-year contract, with an option for a third, after coming through a medical.

Crusat helped Almeria reach the Spanish top flight for the first time in 2007 and has scored 33 goals in 199 games.

"He will add something completely new to the squad, he has electric speed and really quick feet," said Wigan boss Roberto Martinez.
