Watford have completed the signing of Nottingham Forest striker Joe Garner for an undisclosed fee.

The 23-year-old, who has agreed a two-year deal at Vicarage Road, has played four times for Forest this season.

Garner spent last season away from the City Ground, on loan at Scunthorpe,, external scoring six goals in 18 league games for the Iron.

He joined Forest from Carlisle for £1.14m in 2008, external after netting 14 times in the 2007-08 campaign.

And he went on to score nine goals in 48 league appearances for Forest, after spending the early part of his career in the east Midlands sidelined by a knee ligament injury.

Meanwhile, the Hornets have released young defenders Tom Aldred and Eddie Oshodi, with 20-year-old Aldred set to join Colchester on Thursday.
