Stevenage have signed striker Don Cowan for an undisclosed fee from Republic of Ireland side Longford Town.

The 21-year-old, whose move is subject to international clearance, has scored eight times in 19 games for the League of Ireland First Division outfit.

Cowan started his career at Shamrock Rovers, where he made just three substitute appearances.

Meanwhile young striker Tom Collins has joined Hayes & Yeading following his release by Boro.

The 19-year-old had signed a short-term deal at Broadhall Way in May.
