Portsmouth sign young Lewes midfielder Jed Wallace

Portsmouth have signed midfielder Jed Wallace from Ryman Premier side Lewes for an undisclosed fee.

The 17-year-old agreed a two-year deal on transfer deadline day, with the option of a further year.

Academy boss Andy Awford said: "He's a central midfielder with a good attitude. He's a level-headed lad who wants to learn.

"There is a lot of hard work in front of him. But hopefully he will blossom and come through the ranks."
