QPR sign Southampton forward Jason Puncheon on loan

Queens Park Rangers have announced the signing of Southampton forward Jason Puncheon on loan until 2 January 2012.
The deal for the Croydon-born winger was not confirmed until Thursday.
"It just made sense to give him an opportunity to come in until January and see what he can do," manager Neil Warnock told QPR's official website.
Puncheon, 25, joined Southampton from Plymouth in February 2010 but spent much of last season on loan, first at Millwall and later Blackpool., external
Premier League new boys QPR have three points from their opening three games, winning 1-0 at Everton in between defeats by Bolton and Wigan.
Puncheon has also had loan spells at MK Dons - where he began his career - and also played for Barnet for two seasons.
"This all happened very late in the day and I am pleased we got him in," added Warnock.
"Jason is a good acquisition because he brings pace and plenty of desire.
"To be perfectly honest he was so keen to come to QPR I think he would have paid us.
"He is desperate to do well and that really impressed me."
As well as Puncheon, QPR also completed deadline-day moves for Sunderland defender Anton Ferdinand, external and Manchester City winger Shaun Wright-Phillips.
Warnock has also brought in Aston Villa defender Luke Young and Newcastle United midfielder Joey Barton., external in a busy August.
