Northampton Town have signed winger Chris Arthur on a contract until January and MK Dons midfielder George Baldock on a one-month youth loan.

Baldock, the 18-year-old brother of West Ham striker Sam, has made five first team appearances for the Dons.

Arthur, 21, has been playing for non-league Havant & Waterlooville this season but there is no fee involved.

He failed to feature while a QPR youngster, but had loan spells with Kettering and Rushden & Diamonds.

"He was a top prospect at QPR, but he lost his way a little, I believe we can get his career back on track," boss Gary Johnson told the club website, external.

"He is a strong lad, he is quick and has the ability to play as a defender or a winger.

"He has been training with us, and he played for us in a behind-closed-doors game at Milton Keynes this week but I have known of him for a long time."

Both players are available to face Barnet on Saturday.
