Mansfield Town consider leaving Field Mill for new ground

Mansfield Town chairman John Radford says the club will consider leaving Field Mill if they cannot buy the ground from landlord Keith Haslam.

The Stags have been in dispute with Haslam, and were locked out of the ground for 18 days in late 2010.

Radford used his programme notes for Saturday's game with Grimsby to reveal that his 'Plan B' was to move to a new stadium if a deal could not be struck.

"This could be immaterial if we can buy Field Mill from Mr Haslam," he said.

"That has always been my preferred option."
