Baker has scored just three times for Coventry in 62 appearances

Coventry City midfielder Carl Baker has signed a new, undisclosed contract with the Championship club.

The 28-year-old former Southport and Morecambe player joined the Sky Blues from Stockport County, external in January 2010.

Manager Andy Thorn told Coventry's website: "Carl is just the sort of player we want to keep at this club.

"He is an exciting player, a great character to have around the dressing room and his attitude and application are exceptional."
