Guernsey FC boss Tony Vance was pleased with his side's second-half showing as they beat bottom side Farleigh Rovers 4-0 in the Combined Counties League.

Top-scorer Ross Allen scored a hat-trick, including two penalties while Luke Winch got the other for Guernsey.

"It wasn't a vintage performance, certainly in the first half, and myself and Fal [assistant Colin Fallaize] told them that at half-time," Vance said.

"I thought the response was excellent," he added to BBC Guernsey.

The win means Guernsey have opened an eight-point lead at the top of the Combined Counties League Division One table.
