Mansfield Town have re-signed Stoke striker Louis Moult on a month-long loan and agreed a fee to sign on-loan forward Matt Green from Oxford United.

Moult, 19, scored two goals in three games during a loan spell with Town last term and he had a scoreless five-game spell with Accrington this season.

Green, 24, has been on loan at Mansfield this season and has scored 10 goals in 17 games.

Town are in talks with the striker over a potential January transfer.

Stags boss Paul Cox told the club website: "We have had preliminary talks with Matt. The chairman and I are due to sit down next week with him with a view to finalising personal terms."

Moult could play against Fleetwood in Saturday's FA Cup tie.

And Cox said: "Louis has caught my eye on a number of occasions when I have been watching Stoke City's reserve games.

"He scored two good goals on Wednesday when Stoke played Port Vale and will provide extra competition for places as well as complementing our current strikeforce."
