West Ham sign midfield prospect from non-league

West Ham have signed midfielder Pelly Ruddock from non-league Boreham Wood following a successful trial.
Ruddock, 17, had been watched by scouts from several clubs but opted for The Hammers because of their commitment to giving youngsters a chance.
He told the club's official website: "It is good at West Ham because a lot of young players have come through and gone on to do good things.
"I just want to train and give 100% every time I play."
