Northampton Town bids for Jamille Matt rejected

Northampton Town have revealed they have had three offers rejected for Kidderminster striker Jamille Matt.
The 21-year-old has scored eight goals this season, netting four in his last three Blue Square Bet Premier outings.
He one-year deal in the summer, external.
Cobblers boss Aidy Boothroyd has told BBC Radio Northampton, external he is keen to make a host of new signings in January.
"I've got five or six players that are in the pot and are close," he said. "I'm looking at what happens our end and whether we can shift one or two to bring in one or two.
"It has to be a balance. Not just financially but at the moment we've got too many players.
"I talk to the chairman every day and, like all clubs, we have to balance the books. At the same time, he's well aware that we're looking at players who we think might be able to improve us.
"I don't want too many loan players, too many young players, too many old players or too many non-league players. I want to have a balance of hungry, fit, organised, talented people that are willing to go above and beyond what they think they can."
Harriers will be keen to hold on to Matt, who has hit 11 goals in 22 league starts during his time at Aggborough.
Meanwhile, Northampton Town have sent their loan goalkeeper Sam Walker back to parent club, Chelsea.
The 20-year-old made 24 appearances for the Cobblers, having joined on a season-long deal in July, external.
Manager Boothroyd has decided that new goalkeeper Shane Higgs, external will take the number one shirt.
"I explained to Sam that Shane would be my first choice," he said.
"Sam accepted the decision like the good professional he is and it was decided he would return to Chelsea.
"It is in the interests of both Chelsea and Sam that he is playing regular first team football, but I explained that wasn't going to be the case here."
