League Two side Aldershot Town have clinched the loan signings of defensive duo Troy Brown and Sonny Bradley.

Brown, 21, joins until the end of the season from Rotherham while Hull youngster Bradley, 20, has penned a one-month deal.

Shots boss Dean Holdsworth told BBC Surrey: "We've needed to act because of the injury front. The people who've come in are highly recommended.

"I'm looking to both of them to make an impact and prove worthy of League Two."

He added: "Troy is quick and aggressive and has got a point to prove to his manager at Rotherham.

"Sonny is a towering centre-half who is comfortable on the ball. I hope these two will be quality."

Brown told BBC Surrey: "I moved to Rotherham in the summer and things haven't quite worked out for me.

"I've come to Aldershot to prove them wrong and prove to myself that I can perform at this level and higher.

"I've played games in the Championship and didn't disgrace myself. I'm grateful for the opportunity."

After bolstering his defence, Holdsworth is preparing to step up his search for a new striker.

"I've tried to bring in a couple of forwards but they're not cheap," he said.

"It might take another week or so for me to bring in a couple more players for firepower and competition.

"We have Reece Connolly out on loan and I'm looking for him to make a claim for his place. But we've got to be patient."

Meanwhile, Aldershot have confirmed that midfielder Anthony Pulis has left the club. The 27-year-old made eight appearances after joining the club in the summer, external.
