Brentford have signed former QPR striker Antonio German on an 18-month deal after a trial.

The 20-year-old had been playing for Bromley on non-contract terms this month after leaving Stockport but has now joined the Bees' development squad.

German started his career at QPR and had loan spells at Aldershot, Southend and Yeovil before joining Stockport in the summer.

"The League is where I want to be," he told the club website, external.

"Stockport wanted me to stay but I wanted to try my luck in the Football League.

"I came down to Brentford for a trial for a week. I played a game yesterday. They obviously liked what they saw and here I am.

"This is a new challenge. I want to focus, prove myself in the development squad and to the first-team manager, then push through."
