Bath City should change long-term strategy - Adie Britton

Bath City manager Adie Britton has called for the club to review its long-term strategy.

Britton voiced his concerns as the club sit 10 points from safety at the bottom of the Blue Square Bet Premier.

"The long-term initiatives must be considered. This season has proved that the club is struggling to cope at this level," he told BBC Radio Bristol.

"We got away with being part-time last year, but clearly we haven't got away with it this year."

He continued: "The difference in the last four games was a little bit of organisation and sharpness. If we had been full-time we probably would've got the results."

He also pointed out that his side have struggled with small attendances compared to other teams in the division.

"With 13 or 14 ex-League sides in there getting gates of two, three, four thousand plus and us getting six, seven, eight hundred it's always going to be difficult."

Bath, who managed a respectable 10th-placed finish last season, have struggled so far this campaign, losing six league games on the bounce.
