Wigan's Lee Nicholls completes Accrington loan move
- Published
Accrington have signed Wigan goalkeeper Lee Nicholls on an initial one-month loan deal.
The 19-year-old, who is yet to make his debut for the Premier League side, has become Paul Cook's second signing at the Crown Ground.
He has had previous loan spells with Hartlepool and Sheffield Wednesday.
"I've had some good experiences but now I feel like the next step in my career is first team football and hopefully I can get it at Accrington," said Lee.
Accrington assistant manager Leam Richardson said: "Lee is a very promising player.
"We know quite a few people who know him really well from his time at Blackburn and Wigan.
"He's an England Under-20 international and is well thought of and we think he can improve us."
