Mansfield Town have signed towering defender Exodus Geohaghon on an emergency loan from Darlington until the end of the season.

The 26-year-old has joined with the help of the club's fans' group the 12th Stag, who have donated £7,000.

Stags manager Paul Cox said: "Exodus will bring size and presence and will be a commanding figure in defence.

"We had to act after John Dempster's return to Crawley after his loan, but I'm sure Exodus will fill the hole."

Geohaghon, who stands at six feet five inches (1.95m), recently enjoyed a three-month loan spell with League Two side Dagenham & Redbridge and has also played for Kettering Town and Peterborough United.
